Santa Justa lift, Lisbon

Walking around the streets of Lisbon, we decided to visit the Santa Justa Lift also called as Carmo Lift. The cabine is old, made of wood with brass fittings. You have to try it! You can visit the viewpoint from the top of the lift and enjoy the beautiful view of Lisbon.

The lift was a project from the architect Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard, it is said, by the population that he had connections to Gustave Eiffel (but we don't have proof of that). What we know is that some materials and techniques already used in France were used by Ponsard.
